Panelists discuss expanded funding opportunities available through New York State’s HES waiver and explain how technology can reduce reliance on traditional staffing models while still maintaining meaningful support systems. The conversation highlights smart home tools such as medication reminders, cooking safety systems, motion sensors, telehealth, and two-way audiovisual supports that help individuals remain connected and safe in their daily lives.
